Near Field Communication (NFC) is a Bluetooth-like technology that creates a secure two-way connection between devices. It uses your SIM card as the Secure Element that can hold apps such as payment cards, making your NFC profiles unique to your phone as well. NFC runs on lower frequencies than Bluetooth, but consequently takes less time to setup, likely making it more secure. Plus, it does not require device paring beforehand.
Is NFC safe?Yes, NFC technology is absolutely safe. The technology is used in common everyday items such as your credit or debit card for contactless payments.
Does the card expire?The card can be used and tapped for as long as you own the card
How do I safely dispose of the card?Please recycle the card. The card is made from 60% recycled plastic and 40% standard plastic. Please cut the card into eight even pieces to ensure that it cannot be used by another individual.

Does the card work through a case?Yes it does!
Will someone be able to steal my details from the card?The card transmits its information when it comes into close contact to an NFC reader, such as a phone. The card itself only contains the URL of your profile (www.yourocto.com/username)
Can I buy multiple cards for family members and team members too?Yes you can! Simply select the quantity of cards you would like to purchase on the checkout page. You can choose to provide unique names of each card if you choose do so too.
Can I customise the details displayed on my profileYes you can. All profile customisations can be done simply by visiting ‘your profile’ (URL link) via our website. From here you can change your individual details. You can also customise which details of your profile you would like to be displayed at any one time.
